This is happening because the phrase “mother’s health” has been slipped into the amendment; numerous court cases have proven the abortion lobby uses this term to include the mother’s mental health, not just her physical health or life. The initiative also permits abortions on minors without the involvement of their parents, leaving girls vulnerable to abuse.

Neither miscarriage nor ectopic pregnancies are treated through abortion and therefore are completely unrelated to “Question 6.” Sadly, some political groups use these real, traumatic events to fearmonger voters into supporting something they otherwise would not (abortion up until birth). Necessary healthcare for miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies is already legal in every state and widely available at hospitals and clinics.
